Katherine Prehm has had a passion for art that began in 1980, and she spent many years creating commissioned portraits of both people and pets.

After receiving an associates degree in commercial art from Centralia College, she perused an interest in graphic design.

Today, Katherine's family, love of horses, memories of her grandma's farm, and her parents' garden, greatly influence her. Her up-close and personal, predominantly western style artwork is created with colored pencils.

She is a member of SCBWI, Olympia Art League and Peninsula Art Association
